week 2

I have not found the time to post this past week, even though taking care of PJ is getting easier. Well maybe not easier but more routine. She will have days where all she wants to do is nurse, so on those days we nurse and I watch movies/DVDs. I eat when I can, run to the bathroom or run the dogs out in the yard to pees when I can, basically just building my day around her neediness I guess. It's tiring but not extra hard. It's weird being home, but not having my time to myself.

The dogs are adapting as well as can be expected to their new schedule. They get to go to the park like once or twice a week versus four-five times. Max is still super interested in all the smells of a baby, but he's relaxing.

This is definitely the best semester for having a newborn in terms of Shannon's schedule. Twice a week at least she comes home early. Granted she has to study, but she can do it at home. It's wonderful being able to do this together, and I doubt she'll have this much unstructured time in the next two-three years.

PJ is back up to her birth weight and doing great according to her doctor. She's met my coworkers, most of Shannon's classmates and about half our friends. So far, she's been totally chill with everyone.
