Our toilet is an enigma apparently. The slow drain continues despite the plumber's efforts. The leak damage to the apartment below wasn't too extensive so that's good. We'll see what new insights another visit today from the plumber brings.
EDITED TO ADD: So far so good, although it acts up at night. Is it possible our toilet has an internal clock? Maybe it's just temperamental, moody even. But no more plumbers. The dogs have the run of the house again. The snow has melted. Things are looking up.

To answer your comment, yes, Yarnzilla is awesome! But it's not the overwhelming kind of awesome that some other yarn shops are, because there's just one skein of everything on display -- you tell them what you want and they go get more from the back. There are no prices on anything, but everyone is cool with you shouting across the room, "how much is this one?" Great yarns, lots of Rowan, TONS of Koigu, good vibes, low snob factor. And big discounts when you spend more than $50. Tell Linda I sent you. :)
