This beginning of a scarf was ripped and the yarn was used to make another baby sweater. The pattern was the same from Last Minute Knitted Gifts, but modified with mixed results. I think the hood opening is a bit small, yet the hood itself is very big. The tie is a braided length of the yarn but I just wove it in the stitching. The hood edge curles in because I added a few extra stitches on each side.

The colors are more true in the scarf sample than in the blurry sweater itself. Although it's just acrylic, I still love the color variations. So seasonally appropriate and rich. This is the last item I was trying to finish for my package to Melinda. Now, I've just go to get it packed up and in the mail. I am so slow, sheesh.
