Holidays were good with Shannon's family in Colfax. No big dramas or meltdowns. Lots of eating and baking interspered with christmas videos and cable. Dogs ran and rolled in horse poop and wrestled with Marlys' dog Daisy (who's gettng a lot more exercise in general, by the way, with the invisible fence).
A. and T. had their baby boy K on 12/23. We'll be seeing him hopefully before we leave town again. He was like 8lbs something and 21ish inches and needed some vaccuum help. A. said his head is already back to a normal non-pointy shape. A. is now someone's father. Weird.
We rearranged the furniture a bit last night because we've moved the dog crates out of the bedroom. The dogs are on their new dog beds in the bedroom and the crates are now in the living/dining room (where my desk was which is now in the office). The office is very intellectual now, very studious with the two desks. We weren't sure if the dogs would like their beds (on sale at Fleet Farm - oh yeah!) but Max took to his pillow right away. Not too surprising really considering how much he loves pillows. So now there is the 'crate' command and the 'bed' command. Very cute to say 'bed' and watch them curl up on their pillow.
