We just had a lunch knitting lesson at work. There are three of us who knit very well, two who knitted in the past and about seven who had never knit before, all women. Unfortunately, none of the men were interested. Between the three seasoned knitters, we went around and demostrated how to cast on (with the long tail method) as well as to knit. Most everyone was catching on fairly quick, with the main problems being how to juggle the needles and yarn without dropping all your stitches. It was fun but kind of weird to teach someone how to knit. I think we'll meet again on Friday. I suppose part of the weirdness was to have my hobby intersect with my office. I tend to be a bit private about knitting.
